Position Details: 

Event Systems and Support Coordinator

The Event Systems and Support Coordinator will coordinate the functions of Event Services, SCECH support, assist with WRESA Help Desk operations - ticket routing and support staff coordination.  The Coordinator works collaboratively with internal and external clients to ensure all aspects of the Events Team operate on a continuous cycle of improvement.


  • Coordinate, develop, and review the functions, systems and processes of the Event Services Team
  • Coordinate, develop, and review the functions, systems and processes of SCECH support
  • Coordinate, develop, and review the functions, systems and processes and operations of Support Staff Team
  • Coordinate, monitor, and develop processes related to systems used for meeting room schedules and reservations
  • Coordinate, develop, and review reporting from the WRESA Help Desk System
  • Develop and maintain all documentation associated with Event Services
  • Develop and maintain all documentation associated with SCECH Support
  • Monitor WRESA Help Desk operations to ensure requests are processed in a timely manner
  • Coordinate, develop, and review Operations and IT Infrastructure communications
  • Coordinate the development of Event Services/SCECH/WRESA Help Desk training modules for both internal and external clients
  • Prepare the submission of compliance documents such as year-end reports, monthly implementation reports and service requests
  • Maintain electronic files, records and documentation as required by state, local, and WRESA policies
  • Assist with tracking WRESA service contracts for performance, billing and renewal
  • Monitor needed changes in policy and practice to ensure compliance with rules, regulations and state laws
  • Participate as an active and collaborative team member in organization projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, education, public administration/policy, communication or related area


  • Two (2) years required in an office environment performing higher-level duties exhibiting independent thinking and judgement (examples of duties: project management; contract development and monitoring; data collection analysis and reporting; compliance interpretation and communication to stakeholders).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products at a high level including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access (or other database) and Google platforms
  • Experience with Help Desk software platforms
  • Experience providing excellent customer service and relationship building
  • Experience with ITIL processes preferred
  • Experience in development and delivery of technical training preferred
  • Experience in an educational setting preferred


  • Demonstrated ability to utilize computers and other technology to gather, manipulate, synthesize, and analyze data, prepare reports and presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to meet stringent deadlines and compliance requirements

  • Knowledge of public school issues, needs, structures, procedures and requirements preferred


Current WCSSF 12-Month Salary Schedule – Schedule E ($56,462 - $85,453 FY) and a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including health/dental/vision/life and long-term disability insurance. The position is represented by the Wayne County Salaried Staff Federation Local 4479 (WCSSF).
