POSITION: Technology Support Technician - Part-time
DESCRIPTION: The Technology Support Technician is tasked with monitoring and maintaining the District’s computer systems and networks. You will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting and fixing problems and these systems and will solve the issues either in person, over the phone, or through software.
QUALIFICATIONS: Working knowledge of work station operations system software and application software. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and maintain classroom, computer lab, and office hardware including the ability to replace and/or clean components. Good interpersonal communication skills.
Applicant must have at least a high school diploma. Must be able to communicate at a high level both orally and in writing. Must interact successfully with students and staff, have self-initiative, and demonstrate the ability to work without direct supervision. Must be flexible and organized, and be team oriented with a willingness to collaborate and communicate with school staff. Must be a quick thinker with the ability to problem-solve on short notice. Must be willing to continue to obtain further training and professional development as it applies to this position.
WORK YEAR: “Student days” plus holiday and vacation days, plus two weeks for technology, 3.5 hours per day. Additional summer hours possible.
SALARY: Based on education and /or experience.
