Early Intervention Mental Health Social Worker
The School Social Worker assists students whose behavior interferes with their ability to obtain maximum benefit from the educational program. Acts as liaison between parents/guardians, school, and public and private agencies responsible for student care and services. Active member of the GISD’s Behavior Health Team. Work should align and support 31n grant activities.
Three (3) full-time positions; 37.5 hours per week, 185 days.
Commensurate with education and experience.
Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance after one full day of employment. Employees shall be subject to the co-payment of health care costs in accordance with state law.
Master-Social Work required. Eligible for temporary or full approval as school social worker through the Michigan Department of Education. Must hold valid social work license (P.A. 61 of 2004) through the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
None required; successful school social work experience preferred.
