The Board of Education for Engadine Consolidated Schools is searching for a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to replace the current superintendent who has accepted a position at the Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District. This is an outstanding opportunity for a leader who seeks to work with a student-centered Board, in a healthy school district where the school truly is the centerpiece of the community.
Engadine Consolidated Schools is a district of 276 students in a single-building K-12 setting. In addition, the district serves as the fiscal agent for Consolidated Community School Services, which provides alternative education for 70 students in three settings. The district encompasses 464 square miles. The district employs 20 teachers, 13 support staff, a social work interventionist and a high school principal/instructional coach in addition to the Superintendent/Principal.
The preferred candidate shall have:
*Understanding of the MI Excel Blueprint
*Master’s degree or higher in Educational Leadership or related field
*Building or central administration experience (preferred)
*Interest in living and working in the rural Upper Peninsula of Michigan
Salary and Contract Information
The Board will offer a comprehensive, multi-year contract. Compensation will be commensurate with experience of the successful candidate and requirements of the position. A preliminary salary range of $75,000-$83,000 has been established.
