Financial Analyst 12
The financial analyst will serve as a recognized fiscal resource reviewing, interpreting and preparing financial information for the School Nutrition Programs in the Office of Health and Nutrition Services (OHNS). The primary purpose of this position is to provide financial oversight of participants in National School Lunch Program (NSLP), Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), After School Snack Program, Special Milk Program (SMP), Summer Camp Special Milk Program (SCSM), and Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP). The financial analyst assumes responsibility for a range of activities required to administer the Child Nutrition Programs, including collecting, analyzing, and evaluating program financial data through desk audits and/or on-site reviews; preparing reports; providing technical assistance; reviewing and approving spend down plans, coordinating equipment expenditure approvals; processing the financial aspects of applications; assisting with financial trainings and workshops; and performing office administrative duties. The position interprets state/federal regulations and program guidance pertaining to financial issues, assists program supervision with understanding complex financial statements, provides analysis of financial reports, and other financial expertise.
