At Risk Teacher-Secondary Academic & Behavior Interventionist
This position works under the direction of the building principal and is responsible for assisting a teacher in providing instruction to individuals or small groups of students with academic and behavior challenges. This position is also responsible for monitoring, redirecting and modifying student progress regarding inappropriate behaviors and performance, administering intensive behavior intervention programs to identified students, and performing a variety of other duties as assigned. This position also coordinates Lake City Alternative Students: including Lake City Virtual Academy, Lake City Step-Up, and Lake City Alternative Programs. This position will also serve as a classroom teacher at times.
Valid teaching certificate, with credentials up to date, and fulfill highly qualified requirements. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree desired. Administrative experience preferred.
